The Terry Fox run

Terry Fox is my personal hero. His life story is an incredible testament to the human spirit, and speaks to the profound impact that one life can have on our world. His cause is one that is significant to me, and his desire for every Canadian to donate one dollar to cancer research is simple and beautiful.

Collingwood is holding a Terry Fox run on Friday, September 26th on campus, and it is always a great event. As you probably know, the world wide Terry Fox run is held on Sunday, September 14th and this year I invite the families of 5G to join me in the West Van community run. The run begins at 9 am at the west end (13th street) of Ambleside Park. There are a variety of distances available to participate in, but I suggest the 2 km route as a realistic option!

If you are interested in joining in, meet at the corner of Marine and 14th by 8:45 am and we can walk to the event together. The great thing about Terry's run is that it's NOT a race, and it would be a great 5G community-building event if we could run it together. Hope to see you there! :)
